The Wild Coast offers world class waves and beaches. The Wild Coast Ocean offers every kind of wave you could want, from beach breaks to point breaks, big swell to small swell, tube rides to mellow fun rides!

Your guide will take you to several surf breaks and secret beaches along the Wild Coast making sure you get waves everyday!

When out in the Transkei Ocean you then know you are surrounded by Africa. Things here are the way they used to be all over South Africa, where culture is strong, living is simple and the locals are in high spirits. The untouched land makes for a picturesque view while chilling on the beach, fishing on the river or having sundowners on the river bank.

The surf breaks around the Transkei vary in size and power, point breaks and beach breaks. Your guide will assess your level of surfing and then decide which breaks are best for you. There is a wave for everyone, from beginners to professionals!

Other activities when not surfing include the well known Hole in the Wall, local craft markets, secret beaches, fishing, tanning and get a taste of some traditional dance and drumming. So yes, those who don't surf will still have plenty to do!

When travelling this part of the world, the community is really what makes your experience unforgettable. The Wild Coast is a Xhosa community made up of many tribes. You will experience the way the Xhosa people live and you will learn all about their culture and beliefs.

You will stay at the Swell Tours Guest Lodge which is their very own Lodge, built by the Xhosa people and looks straight into the eye of a perfect wave!

Catering for all surfers
Whether you're a seasoned surfer or fairly new to the sport our surf tours cater for surfers of all abilities. Every morning our guides will be on hand to advise you of what the conditions are doing and where the best waves will be breaking, depending on your ability of course. The more inexperienced surfer will benefit from having our guides on hand to assist them on all levels. For those days when the surf doesn't co-operate we'll always have a list of activities or attractions on the agenda to ensure that your trip to our stunning land is a memorable one.

Local Knowledge
Capitalize on the local knowledge of our tour guides, and surf the best possible waves at some truly amazing surf spots. Hailing from surfing backgrounds, and having travelled extensively along the South African coastline and abroad, our surf tour guides are highly experienced and extremely knowledgable when it comes to matters of finding the best possible waves.

Surfing Equipment
If you don't have any surfing equipment, don't worry! All surfboards, wetsuits and surfing equipment can be arranged by us and will be ready and waiting for you when you arrive. Please notify us in advance so that all arrangements and orders can be made. This is a very cost-affective option, plus you'll benefit from having surfboards shaped to suit conditions found along the beautiful coastline!
